Did you know? 🤔 Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy, located in Florence, Italy, started over 1,000 years ago. The pharmacy was founded in 1221 by a group of Dominican monks living in Florence’s first basilica. ⛪ The monks kept a garden at the basilica and used the harvest to make balms, creams, and elixirs to treat common ailments. 👨🌾 In the 16th century, the pharmacy was open to the public; and it’s still open today.
